1.   Associate membership is open to members of the medical profession or others who are active in some phase of Pediatrics but ineligible for Active membership. 

2.   Associate members shall not be eligible to be on the Board of Directors or vote in the elections of the Society.

       

2.   The application shall include the full name of the applicant, mailing address, email address, date of birth, medical or  osteopathic school and date of graduation, internship, residencies, date of certification by the American Board of Pediatrics (if applicable) or its equivalent in another field of specialized interest.

3.   Applications shall be read at a meeting of the Board of Directors.  A favorable vote of a majority of the Board of Directors present is required for membership.

4.   Those candidates approved shall be notified by the Secretary.

5.   Any candidate not approved for membership shall be notified by the Secretary and has the right of appeal to a special ad hoc committee of the Philadelphia Pediatric Society members; not members of the Board of Directors.

 6.    All approved memberships shall be declared void unless payment of dues occurs within three (3) months of  notification, except under circumstances approved by  the Board of Directors.
